Isle of Man International Darts Festival

As so many of you may now be aware, after a very drawn out tendering process the IOM Government has chosen the EDO as the new organisers of the IOM Darts Festival, which in 2016 will celebrate its 31st anniversary.

It is a huge honour to be entrusted with the Festivals future, and we know in following the previous organisers Les and Steve France we have a very hard act to follow.
However, with the tournament team we have now assembled at the EDO, we are both determined and confident to prove that this is a challenge we can and will most certainly rise to, ensuring along the way, that all those who go, be they regular attendees or those who have never previously been will all leave having had a great time.

The Festival has a guaranteed prize fund of over £30,000.00 and on top of the ever popular mixed, men's and ladies doubles there will be two BDO ranking events each for men and ladies, with the Men's having both a Category A+ and B and the Ladies' an A+ and A.

In Pokerstars, we have also managed to acquire a magnificent headline sponsor whose patronage will  run alongside the support already given by Darts Corner and ONE80 darts. What's really exciting for everyone is quite where this new association may lead to.
If we do a great job, and prove our worth not just to the IOM Government for the trust given, but to Pokerstars for lending their name, it could, just possibly be the most significant relationship the EDO has ever brokered.

That's where we need the continuing support, and attendance,  of not only all our wonderful supporters, who we are forever grateful to, but also to those who traditionally make the annual pilgrimage, please keep doing so, and we hope to see so many friends old and new in March 2016.

There will be some notable differences for the IOM Festival of Darts including the facility, as happens at all EDO events, to enter on line which you can now all do by visiting www.englanddarts.co.uk and simply press the link for on line entries. For those of you who may wish to continue sending in your applications/entry forms by post, the link will also give you the details of where to send them to.

With the tendering process taking longer than anyone anticipated we obviously apologise for the somewhat late arrival of all the details but for how to book, be that your travel, flights or hotels there have been many deals already organised and as so many of you have previously done can we strongly recommend doing so either through Sally at the IOM Event services 01624 664460 www.iomevents.co.uk or through the IOM Steam-packet company www.steam-packet.com
If you can't see the hotel you are looking for, or you wish to get any alternative flight and hotel package deal these people will take care of everything for you.
