Phil Taylor’s Dart Hand

We all know that some famous actresses and models have insured their legs against injury and one or two famous musicians have been known to insure their hands as well, but never has a darts player insured his hand. Earlier this week Phil Taylor announced that he had insured his dart hand for the princely sum of £1 Million. While it is true that he is arguably the greatest darts player that has ever lived it still seems a lot of money. Phil obviously believes that he is going to win an awful lot more prize money in the years to come simply to pay the exorbitant costs of insurance. It would seem that he has no intention of retiring just yet even though he has said that with all the new up and coming players it is getting harder to win all the time.

I don’t think it would be worth insuring my right hand because if I damaged it I would not lose much prize money. The last time I nearly won something was in last summers Champion of Champion’s Knock Out when I came runner up and won £5 that was presented at the Weston & Trent Valley Darts League presentation night held at Stafford Rangers Football Club.
