Colwich Computer Club has been set up by a local charity for the slightly older residents (Over 50's) of the immediate area surrounding the old youth club in the village where it operates from.

The club receives funding from various sources, but is staffed by volunteers. Operating for two hours on every other Thursday morning, the club is organised by Bill Tweddle assisted by myself Alan Hartley. Members are free to join the first session, but have to pay £3 at each session they attend after that.

There are usually about half a dozen Laptops provided by the club that members can use in the club, but it is always best that they bring their own so that they can learn on a familiar machine. The Internet is available for those that want it although members can ask for help on many aspects of using computers.

Neither Bill, nor myself are Teachers, but he has experience of giving tuition from when he was in the Army, so he normally leads the main session and I help where I can with other subjects.

There are NO EXAMS or TESTS and members simply learn what they want.

The other pages on this new and growing web-site are instructional and really meant for the members of the club, (but of course anybody is free to look at

Bill TweddleAlan J Hartley them,) so that they can practice on their own machines at home. This Web-site has no official standing and has simply been set up by myself as a tuition tool that will hopefully make it a bit easier for me to help club members.
