Captains Meeting called For 24/3/10

Graham has called a Captains meeting for the Wednesday (24th March) after the last league match dated the 17th March. The meeting will be held at the Castle and start at 8-30pm. Graham has suggested a Team Knock out with the first round on a Heat basis with two groups of 4 teams. (The top half of the league and the bottom.) This will extend the season for a few weeks and then he proposes a Summer break before starting the new season in the Autumn.

If Captains agree to the Knock Out, the draw will be made on the night, so that teams will be able to play the first game the following week, Wednesday 31st March. It may be decided to have some sort of singles/doubles Knock Out as well if there is enough interest.

Other matters may be discussed if Captains have any issues or suggestions. For those that are interested the players/teams records spreadsheet will be simplified next season as few people seem interested in recording enough details to make it worthwhile listing averages, tons, etc. Wins/losses will still be recorded as will special achievements. (180's, Starts, etc.) Teams will still be listed on individual pages on the Net as this makes it quicker and easier for viewing as compared to Monday Nights.
